The HeatGenie team—a results-oriented group of inventors, entrepreneurs, CPG veterans, scientists, engineers, and technicians—draws from years of creative and technical experience. Our team has extensive knowledge of product R&D and consumer brand launching, allowing for the introduction of HeatGenie technologies to the RTD food and beverage industry.  

Management and Advisory Team

Mark Turner
President and CEO
Mark is a serial entrepreneur with 30 years of experience growing and scaling consumer-facing companies in the CPG, services, advertising/marketing and restaurant spaces. His experience includes conceptualizing, building, managing, and streamlining businesses with full operations, branding and P&L responsibility. Turner has repeatedly produced revenue and EBITDA growth across multiple businesses within start-up, turnaround and rapidly changing environments. His extensive and varied work experience includes working with companies such as GTE/Verizon, The Richards Group, Dell, NASCAR, Lone Star Beer, Whataburger restaurants, Alamo Drathouse, Wyndham Hotels and SEIKO.


Joe Canterbury

Joe Canterbury has spent over two decades helping expand great consumer brands around the world, including 11 years as a senior executive with Starbucks Coffee International.  He presently is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Pacific Springboard, a platform company that helps bring hot US consumer concepts and supporting technologies into China and Asia.  He is also President of Chaucer Investments, through which he invests in and actively advises multiple emerging consumer companies and brands. He has also served as SVP for Appconomy, a China-focused mobile commerce and marketing innovator and serves on the board of Appconomy Asia, a HK based JV

Canterbury’s tenure with Starbucks included many years as VP of Global Business Development , where he led the expansion of Retail businesses across Europe, Latin America and Asia and also helped launch CPG products in numerous countries.  He also served as VP of New Business for Starbucks EMEA, based out of Amsterdam, and Managing Director of Starbucks Germany.  Prior to Starbucks, he worked for Daimler (Mercedes-Benz) in Germany and Singapore. Canterbury brings expertise in International Retail, Food Service, Consumer Goods and Mobile Technology. Canterbury has lived and worked in seven countries.


Matt Gase

Matt Gase is CEO of Eat Well Brands, a fast-growing specialty food company that markets the Eat Well Embrace Life brand of hummus.  Prior to Eat Well, Gase was President and Chief Executive Officer at Stubb’s Legendary Bar-B-Q, the leading premium Bar-B-Q sauce, marinade and spice rubs brand in the US.  Before stepping into to the Stubb’s Bar B-Q leadership role, Gase held General Management and Vice President Positions with Commemorative Brands Inc., ConAgra Foods and Ralston Purina. He holds a BGS, Business/Communications from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University.


Rich DePencier
Advisory Board
Rich is a Senior Marketing Executive with 25 years of global brand-building experience across both new and established product categories, domestic and international markets, and top global retailers across multiple B2C/B2B channels. A multi-cultural leader known for relentless consumer focus, strategy, innovation pipelines and record business results built through developing high-performing teams and functional excellence across the globe. He spent 13 years with P&G working on large globally established brands, then launched Starbuck’s start-up domestic and international CPG business.
